...News...  3.31.08 Both the Zing! and the JDQ Spring tours have been scheduled! Check out the events page to see where we’re playing. Should be nice to get down to the South for a bit. Also, a tour with Karl Schwonik has also been planned for Jan. ’08. This arose out of some collaboration at the recent Betty Carter Jazz Ahead Program in DC, which I just returned from. 1.29.08 We’ve plnned a James Davis Quintet for this May down to TX and back! Check out the events page to update your schedule! 12.07.07 Reader Review One more revie worth noting: Chicago Reader 12/07 12.04.07 Ears&Eyes Festival next weekend! This next weekend is the second annual Ears&Eyes Festival, this year held at Subterranean and a Loft Space () Friday night. Some great great local and out-of town bands will playing, and there will be many featured artists and film-makers as well. For the full schedule click here. Carmine Caruso International Jazz Trumpet Competition. Last weekend I participated as one of the five finalists at the Caruso Competition. It was a very inspiring experience - it was surely instiring to be among such amazing players! The Magnetic Flux tour went really well. We sold some CD’s, played 10 cities in 10 days. We’ll definitely be doing more of that as soon as schedules permit!
